HydroLogic
HydroLogic is a new-generation water-management company from the Netherlands, which works internationally with a focus on 3 countries: Australia, South Africa and Germany. We believe that many of the current water problems resulting from climate change and urbanisation can be solved by innovative information and communication technologies (ICT). Our mission is to empower water managers with smart solutions providing reliable data, simulation models, user-friendly software and in-depth water knowledge.
HydroLogic has a solid basis of over 3000 clients in the Netherlands, Germany, South Africa and Australia who use the award winning HydroNET Software as a Service (SaaS) solution. HydroNET forms the basis for the Rain for Africa platform, where a wealth of weather and climate data for South Africa will be made available and will be translated into agricultural advisories. The data can be viewed and analysed on the platform, but will also enable software developers to create new data products and applications for the agrifood sector.
We are a team of 35 hydrologists and ICT professionals working from offices in Amersfoort and Delft. The latter is close to the Technical University and various international water-research institutes such as UNESCO-IHE. We work jointly with these organisations in several research projects funded by the European Space Agency, the European Commission, G4AW or other funding programmes. Internationally we team-up with local companies who have in-depth knowledge of the local situation. We jointly provide the HydroNET solutions, applications and services, including a helpdesk for support. The South African Weather Services provides provides the local helpdesk in South Africa.
